Developer

Information Systems Solutions (ISS) is looking for a candidate to provide full stack development of a web site in a Linux operating environment employing Active Directory for a government customer on the Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) network. The selected candidate will work as the primary developer responsible for building a website that provides authentication services to access to Navy Agile Core Services. This work is done in a classified environment and performed 100 percent on site.

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

• Experience working in a Linux based operating environment employing Windows Active Directory, PHP, Postgres, KeyCloak, and other similar technologies.
• Linux system administration at the IAT-2 level for client and server operating systems such as, but not limited to, CentOS and Red Hat Enterprise Linux. The candidate must be able to configure and administer Linux operating systems and web application servers.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and security protocols to protect APIs and sensitive data.
• Optimize API performance for scalability and speed, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL in a web based environment.
• Knowledge of popular JavaScript frameworks/libraries like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
• Basic understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Certifications (IAT Level II):

One of the following:

• Security+ CE
• GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
• Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP)
• System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

and one of the following:

• Linux +
• LPIC-2 Advanced Level Linux Professional
• LPIC-3 Senior Level Linux Professional
• RHCE Red Hat Certified Engineer
• RHCSA Red Hat Certified System Administrator
• RHCDS Red Hat Certified Data Center Specialist

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of Experience providing full stack development services.
• 3+ Years of Experience with Linux Systems.
• 2 years’ Experience with Windows Systems.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Red Hat VM environment.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and ITIL Certification.
• Experience with the IAVM process.
