Overview
The Release team deploys, manages, and maintains one of our flagship products, ArcGIS Enterprise. We focus on understanding changes and additions to the software, testing and infrastructure that are occurring, and help determine best implementation practices along with system procurement. As a Release Engineer - DevOps, you will help with the automation of virtual infrastructure and test environments accessible by users across the company. This role collaborates extensively with internal IT teams (IST) as well as global development staff.

Responsibilities
- Perform daily testing, analysis, investigation, and identification/rectification of problems
- Report daily on the quality and stability of the software system
- Work closely with development teams to gather release requirements for new and updated products
- Design, implement, and document release process solutions that improve the service provided to development teams
- Continually update release methods based on rapidly changing technology and requirements
- Drive quality-centric methodologies in a dynamic development environment
- Identify, prioritize, and ensure key issues are fixed
- Participate in the release of high-quality software; certify the overall quality of the system and ensure each release is ready to ship to customers
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in system administration and/or DevOps
- Experience in the software development and/or release engineering process
- Strong facilitation skills to elicit requirements and drive consensus across multiple stakeholders
- Experience with multiple platforms that include Windows, UNIX/Linux, and/or Kubernetes
- Proficiency with one or more scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Shell
- Experience with automation systems such as Jenkins, Ansible or Terraform
- Experience using one or more testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Test Complete, or Junit
- Excellent teamwork, communication, strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Bachelor's in information technology, computer science, or related field

Recommended Qualifications
- Experience with QA processes, test frameworks, writing test cases, and automating tests
- Familiarity with quality improvement processes such as CIP / ITIL
- Experience with VMWare, RedHat OpenShift, Rancher or Tanzu
- Administration experience with ArcGIS Enterprise
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure, cloud-based infrastructure systems

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $70,720 — $112,320 USD.
