The Sr Director, Global Media Strategy is part of the Digital Marketing team and reports to the VP, GFM Strategy, Operations, Performance, Media. This role will be responsible for evolving our global digital marketing strategy with the goal of driving awareness of and engagement with the Salesforce brand. This role will also be responsible for managing a team of global media strategists with the goal of managing the global media strategy for the Salesforce product portfolio. The Sr Director, Global Media Strategy will manage strategists who develop audience media plans across globally executed campaigns, provide executive leadership with updates as needed and work with business and channel leads to optimize campaign performance and ensure strategic alignment.
Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a team of strategists who build brand, engagement, and performance media plans across search, social, display, video, native and mobile platforms.
  2. Translate the goals of integrated initiatives into digital goals and put together supporting media strategies.
  3. Collaborate with business stakeholders and channel leads to ensure tight integration of engagement media plans with global direct response strategy.
  4. Perform campaign analysis directly relevant to optimization and/or planning and buying decisions. Contribute to campaign analytics and insights development.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  1. Strong familiarity with relevant Tech B2B media vendors and experience building brand, engagement, and performance focused media plans.
  2. Experience collecting/interpreting data from a variety of media platforms (Google Analytics, Doubleclick Campaign Manager, YouTube, etc.) to make solid business recommendations.
  3. Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  4. Experience leading digital advertising strategy and execution across a variety of digital platforms.
  5. Strong excel skills required, Tableau skills a plus.

Education/Experience:

  1. 10+ years in a role responsible for digital media planning.
  2. Experience managing a team of 10+
  3. Agency media experience
  4. Proven track record of building and executing successful cross-platform media plans at an enterprise company.
