Senior Database Administrator for Team TAG Services, LLC, E. Syracuse, NY. May work from anywhere in the U.S: Perform SQL Server administration and manage SQL Server databases. Perform SQL Server administration and handle migration and upgrade projects for SQL Server 2014/2016/2017/2019 database systems. Manage SQL Server databases in various lifecycle environments, development to mission-critical production systems. Participate in database code reviews and provide performance, security, and design recommendations. Database deployments and adhering to defined change control procedures. Develop solutions to automate DBA tasks using PowerShell, T-SQL, PowerBI, SSRS, SSIS etc., to standardize DBA Processes and implement proactive monitoring. Review performance bottlenecks and implement query tuning to improve performance and scalability of the application processes. Work with infrastructure and applications teams during project planning, implementation, and rollout phases. Monitor using native and 3rd party tools to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security of database systems. Implement and monitor database backup and recovery procedures, handle database patching and implementation of database security policies and best practices. Proactively monitor and setup required alerts. Determine the most effective way to improve performance of DB Servers including server configuration changes, or index/query changes. Required: Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field and 3 years working as a Database Administrator or related title, including: 3 years with SQL Server Always On and Failover clusters for high-availability and disaster recovery; 3 years using T-SQL and PowerShell to automate SQL administration functions; and 3 years developing solutions to automate database administration tasks using PowerBI, SSRS, SSIS to standardize processes and implement proactive monitoring.
