The Space Training Acquisition Office (STAO) and Defensive Cyber Operations – Space (DCO-S) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Bridge (SDSEIB) contract provides support to the USSF Space Systems Command (SSC) Space Domain Awareness & Combat Power (SDA&CP, SSC/SZ), Warfighter Enterprise (SZY), and to Battle Management, Command, Control and Communications (BMC3) Information Mobility (IM, SSC/BCTI).
Information Mobility provides advanced terrestrial-to-space and terrestrial-to-terrestrial data transport solutions enabling the Enterprise to: augment satellite contact capacity via civil space networks/antennas and commercial services, addressing the ever-increasing demand for contact supports; take advantage of a scalable, resilient, and cyber-secure architecture to provide a robust warfighting communications network; efficiently manage resources to increase resiliency and enhance Satellite Operations (SATOPS) scheduling processes with automation; protect data and make it available to authorized users via multi-security levels and cryptographic services. This position will support the Information Mobility government team.
Duties Will Include:
- Providing Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) support for satellite communications network systems including Telemetry, Tracking & Control (TT&C), scheduling, communications, and associated systems.
- Support government project life cycle activities, including pre-award acquisition planning, development of Government RFP artifacts, architecture framework development, requirements development/analysis, design review support, risk identification and mitigation planning, test planning, integration support, test support.
- Perform engineering analyses to predict and define problems, define/design actionable corrective measures, and operational implementation of ground systems modernization.
- Prepare and review test plans and test reports, analytical evaluation of systems’ compatibility, and development of requirements.
- Review and assess contractor designs and conduct trade studies on alternative system design approaches.
- Participate or lead technical meetings and government-led studies, assess technical baselines, and ensure system modifications meet requirements.
- Support logistics documentation creation and coordination with government.
- Support design change approval processes and coordination with government.
- Perform as Technical Lead for ENSCO in Los Angeles, CA in supporting BCTI and Government customer to include working autonomously and seamlessly in Government leadership levels.
Qualifications Required (Skills):
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent and minimum of 7 years of closely related experience.
- Knowledge and background with architecture, systems and subsystem requirements, systems engineering processes, and development and maintenance of CONOPS.
- Technical skills to understand and analyze system problems, define potential solutions, and conduct in-depth technical analysis, assessments and trades and explain results of technical studies in a systems engineering context.
- Demonstrates understanding of performance and requirements analysis techniques, and acceptance testing strategies/methodologies.
- Ability to lead technical teams in identifying customer needs.
- Experience with engineering tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, SharePoint, and Project.
- AN ACTIVE DOD SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION AND MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A TS/SCI CLEARANCE, FOR WHICH, YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN.
Qualifications Desired:
- Master’s or PhD
- Working knowledge of the Satellite Control Network (SCN) or similar DoD program
- Active TS/SCI or higher clearance
