About the role :

We’re looking for a protocol engineer to join our team and help set the foundations of the company. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining all the systems that touch the Lumino protocol and node including all blockchain systems, cryptoeconomic mechanisms, decentralized networking, and proof generation and verification.

You will :

1. Design, build, and maintain the Lumino protocol and node.
2. Develop and test blockchain protocols and smart contracts.
3. Build, test, debug, and deploy large-scale decentralized systems across thousands of nodes.
4. Lead the process for internal and external smart contract audits.
5. Own projects end-to-end, from requirements, scoping, design, to implementation, in a highly collaborative and cross-functional environment.

Requirements :

1. You have 2+ years of software engineering experience in building low-level protocols.
2. You have strong knowledge of blockchain, smart contracts, and consensus algorithms.
3. You have experience in Rust or Go.
4. You have strong communication and collaboration abilities.
5. You have excellent problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly.
6. You write high quality and well tested code.
7. You have experience working with a cloud-native tech stack (e.g AWS/GCP).

Nice to haves :

1. Previous experience in a startup environment.
2. Contributions to open source projects.
3. Previously built a L1 or L2 blockchain.
