Greenphire’s Data Services team is responsible for data delivery from our flagship applications to our customers. We provide data services such as collection, structuring, scrubbing, aggregation and secure delivery. We also provide value-added services such as statistical and ML driven data analytics, visualization and tabular reporting. We are looking for a highly experienced Data Engineer to drive delivery of our future data strategy.


Responsibilities

  1. Help shape and refine the technical architecture used within the Data Services team.
  2. Implement a cloud-based data lake populated from a combination of streaming and flat-file data sources.
  3. Participate in scaling out our streaming data platform.
  4. Support the transition of legacy ETL and reporting solutions onto target architectures.
  5. Grow the technical proficiency of the team through a combination of example setting and mentoring.

Required Qualifications

  1. BS in Computer Science or equivalent
  2. 5+ years experience with Python, SQL, PySpark, Pandas, RDBMS
  3. 5+ years experience with AWS tools such as Glue, Lambda, S3, EKS, MSK, SNS, SQS, Athena, Aurora, RDS
  4. 3+ years experience with data transport and transformation using Debezium, Kafka, Python, KSQL
  5. Experience working with data access APIs running on Kubernetes
  6. Experience with deploying AWS tools using Terraform
  7. Experience with workflow tools such as Airflow and Argo Workflows
  8. Familiarity with Agile, SRE and DevOps processes and practices
  9. Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced small-company environment.

Desired Qualifications

  1. Master’s in computer science, Data Science or related disciplines
  2. Experience working with ledger-based financial data.
  3. Experience working with clinical trial data.
  4. Experience processing Kafka streams using Scala and Java
