PostgreSQL DBA

One of our direct clients, a Big Data & Data Science major, is implementing a Big Data solution at the end client site and is looking for a strong Postgres DBA to implement Postgres in a Big Data environment. This is a long-term position with a confirmed assignment for 6+ months.

Job Description

• Must have at least 3+ years of experience with PostgreSQL.
• Must have at least 9+ years of experience in IT.
• We cannot sponsor H1's for now.
• We accept only employees on your payroll.
• Payment terms are strictly 45 days from the date of invoice.

Qualifications

1. In-depth understanding of PostgreSQL internals including configuration for big data deployment.
2. Experience in performance tuning of queries.
3. Experience on a data warehouse.
4. Experience in indexing strategy for performance.
5. Experience in sharding PG.
6. Experience in PSQL.
