CADD Technician / Designer - OpenRoads Drainage & Utilities (ORD DU)

CADD Technician or CADD Designer with OpenRoads Drainage & Utilities (ORD DU) software package experience to work in our BGE inc Austin offices (North Austin Louis Henna Blvd) or South Austin (Airport Blvd).
Responsibilities:

• Use OpenRoads Drainage & Utilities (ORD DU) software package to perform accurate drafting and annotation for plan, profile and detail sheets for roadway drainage plans.
• Complete redlines for modification of existing plans and notes or preparation of new details or design elements.
• Complete construction plan sets by compiling all plan, profile, note and detail sheets to present a comprehensive design.
• 100% daily onsite role (No remote or hybrid flexibility).

Requirements:

• 2+ or more years of experience in civil engineering drafting and design ideally in roadway/highway/drainage.
• Technical degree or certification ORD DU.
• Demonstrated experience without technical degree or certification may be considered.
• Ability to become proficient in both drafting programs listed above is expected.
• Experience working with engineers and senior designers.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work in a fast-paced environment dedicated to meeting deadlines.
• Have a working knowledge of CADD standards, features and annotation styles, line styles, sheet set manager and drawing setup.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing multi-step tasks.
• Willingness to learn and expand capabilities.
• Ability to work in a team and work well with others.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
