Assistant Bridge Engineering Project Manager - (181014)

Responsibilities
- Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques
- Work on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, prestress concrete, segmental and cable), box culvert, and interchange design for highway and railway projects
- Select standard bridge engineering/design procedures, develop structural details using specialized structural design and analysis software, perform structural load calculations, and assist with geometric layout and quantity development
- Review, assign work, and/or check design calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by junior engineers and EITs
- Responsible for many aspects of a small project or a single aspect of a larger project
- Coordinate workload through project execution and complete deliverables on budget and schedule
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- 7 years of bridge design experience is preferred
- MS in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Caltrans bridge design experience
- Experience working with Caltrans District 7, 8, 11 or 12
- California PE license
- MicroStation, AutoCAD experience
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using structural analysis programs and bridge design software
- Experience managing junior staff
- Excellent communication skills and working in a team environment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 5 years related experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be a plus)

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location: $95,000- $140,000.
