This position involves safety sensitive job tasks or duties that could affect the safety and health of the employee or others, including but not limited to the operation of a motor vehicle, other vehicle, equipment, machinery or power tools. Repairing, maintaining or monitoring the performance or operation of any equipment, machinery or manufacturing process, the malfunction or disruption of which could result in injury or property damage. As set out more fully in the Drug and Alcohol Policy, employees in this position are subject to discipline up to and including termination of employment in the event of a positive drug test for marijuana components or metabolites, regardless of whether such employee has a valid Oklahoma medical marijuana license.
Requires a willingness to work outside of normal business hours to meet deadlines, if necessary.

Responsibilities:
Drawing interpretation of customer prints
Load and revise bills of material (BOMs) in Costpoint (ERP system)
Complete process routings in Costpoint
Evaluate alternate and substitute parts to support legacy production lines
Revise internal technical documentation to include drawings and test plans/procedures
Take immediate action to support production with the use of redlined drawings
Support new design projects through prototype build and testing
Operation of optical comparator for reverse engineering needs
Operation of coordinate-measuring machine for reverse engineering needs
Operation of laser engraver
Oversee CNC programing.
Maximize productivity of machinery in the Machine Shop, Assembly, and MRO departments
Determine which machines, tools, equipment, etc. will be used and where they will be stationed in the facility
Increase speed and efficiency of processes without compromising quality
Diagnose origin of breakdowns, including human error, and troubleshoot problems in the Machine Shop, Assembly, and MRO departments
Maintain existing company facilities and equipment, replace, or make adjustments to company facilities and equipment when necessary.
Incorporate shop floor organization and cleanliness among production departments.
Develop requirements for tooling and support equipment.
Assure machine tool programs are to latest part revision.
Identify Continuous Improvement projects and present them to management
Work to resolve problems throughout the organization
Support the solicitation process by estimating Manufacturing hours, creating a detailed Manufacturing schedule, and writing technical papers
Identify, analyze, and solve obsolescence issues
Other duties as assigned
Preferred Knowledge:
Knowledge of soldering and safety wire
Machine Shop experience or a combination of vocational training and on the job experience
Reporting Relationship:
Reports directly to the Engineering Manager.
Job Requirements:
Education and Training:
- two to five years of experience in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, systems, industrial or mechanical engineering
- five plus years of experience in Engineering/Manufacturing
