Video games are the most interesting form of self-expression, social connection and entertainment. There are over three billion gamers but only a tiny fraction who can create games due to technical hurdles and costs, which has hindered the growth of the industry.
Our client's mission is to democratize creation and bring innovation to video games. We are building an AI engine to empower visionaries - gamers, game designers and developers.
As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and deploying multi-modal machine learning models and algorithms for video game content. Your role will involve working with the founders, product and the AI research team to develop practical and efficient implementations of models, work with the curation of custom training data and task-specific models, as well as optimizing and deploying them for production.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, deploy and launch products working closely with the founders, balancing customer needs, company goals and technical feasibility
- Rapidly develop prototypes for testing concepts using foundational models such as OpenAI/GPT, Stable diffusion and others
- Develop and maintain machine learning infrastructure including for training/fine-tuning of models and inference pipelines
- Solve open-ended problems on the intersection of video games and Gen AI
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Computer Science with specialization in AI and ML or equivalent qualifications, and relevant practical experience
- 5+ years of deep learning and AI/ML frameworks or cloud ML infrastructure experience
- Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques
- Experience building products with LLMs and LLMOps (Langchain, Pinecone, Gantry etc)
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Passion and knowledge of video games and user experience is desirable
- Bonus: Publications in leading AI journals; Game Engine / Tech experience
