Take your engineering expertise to the next level to work on tough projects that will make a huge impact on waste/water treatment facilities with Parsons!Our Parsons San Diego office is now hiring for an Associate Civil Engineer to join our water practice in California. This is an entry level role open to new or recent graduates from a Civil Engineering Degree program, with a focus in environmental , hydrology, and water systems engineering.What You'll Be Doing:Under general supervision, perform various fundamental technical tasks in support of a projectComplete a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes, utilizing CAE/CAD as applicableLog (either manually or electronically), copy, and process and distribute various project and/or engineering documents such as RFI, Submittals and TransmittalsMaintain established files for project document retentionScan documents for electronic storageLog (either manually or electronically) and route interdisciplinary checks and supplier dataBecome familiar with the requisition process for assigned project, including preparation and approvalPrepare standard engineering computations, material quality takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designsAssist in project closeout activities, as neededPerform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriateContributes as a team player who is deadline driven and works well with othersWhat Qualifications You'll Bring:Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related fieldEngineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate preferred but not requiredWorking knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering preferred but not requiredMinimum Clearance Required to Start:Not Applicable/NoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 75 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
