The Commerce, Growth & Identity (CGI) team is dedicated to three business-critical areas at Disney that will help transform its media business. They create seamless user experiences for consumers who can choose from a wide range of subscription plans, enabling more choice and flexibility. The CGI team is also focused on building innovative and cutting-edge capabilities that will drive subscriptions, engagement, and monetization across Disney’s streaming and digital products.
What You Will Do
- Collaborates closely with product and project management to translate requirements into technical specifications and timelines while partnering with other engineering teams to deliver solutions.
- Write and maintain code quality through test driven development.
- Contribute to code reviews, documentation, knowledge-sharing, and technical investigations.
- Collaborate with Senior and Lead Engineers to building new features.
- Partner with UX to transform mock-ups into engaging, accessible web experiences.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience with Javascript, Typescript, and React.
- Write well-documented, clear, and robust code.
- Solid understanding of web technologies and the browser environment.
- Previous experience integrating api specifications while collaborating with service teams.
- Excellent front-end debugging skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Shipped production level React/Node.js application with deployed to cloud platforms (e.g. AWS).
- Working knowledge of web accessibility fundamentals.
- Experience working in Agile environment.
- Strong knowledge to web standards and new technologies.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
