Power Controls and Information Systems (PC&IS)
Responsible for development and troubleshooting electrical design, programming, and digitization of automated, robotic, and information systems. Own and build Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and Human to Machine Interfaces (HMIs). He/She will lead manufacturing lines and machine controls and need to have knowledge in power systems, computing and network technologies, machine control and instrumentation, vision systems, robotics; knowledge and experience in electrical safety regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • 4 or more years working in a manufacturing environment in a controls and automation discipline
  • Knowledge of HMI development (e.g. FactorytalkView Studio, Wonderware), and PLC programming (e.g. ControlLogix) is an asset
  • Familiarity with IT/Networking and database applications
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Understanding of instrumentation and measurement systems for Process Control
  • Experience with industrial networks and safety standards preferred.
  • Experience working with 480/277VAC 3-phase, 208/120VAC 3-phase, also 24VDC, 4-20ma, 0-5V and 0-10V control circuits.
  • Must have knowledge of OSHA 1910, NFPA 70, 70E, 79 safety standards and machine design specifications
  • Must have knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain networking platforms and industrial control software: DeviceNet, ControlNet and Remote I/O, DH+, DH485, and EthernetIP. HTML / XML, Python/Java programming with SQL programming experience would be a plus.
This is a 6 month contract position working onsite at a large well-known consumer products company in Greensboro, North Carolina. Pay is based on experience and expertise level of the candidate: $50 - $80 per hour.
