Project Engineer (EIT) | Principe Company

We are currently looking for a Project Engineer (EIT) who is looking to work for a small dynamic firm with clients of all sizes. As a small firm, the ideal candidate must be willing to dive into different projects and spearhead them, from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

1. Design site development plans for a variety of projects including wastewater management, drainage, residential and commercial land development, environmental and coastal permitting, and dock design.
2. Produce comprehensive plans and reports, along with other essential project documentation.
3. Collaborate closely with regulatory agencies, clients, and sub-consultants to facilitate and complete the project.
4. Employ AutoCAD Civil 3D to create grading plans, profiles, road designs, and intricate details.
5. Thoroughly research regulatory prerequisites and design standards.
6. Execute intricate calculations for stormwater facilities, utility systems, and roadway enhancements.
7. Foster seamless collaboration with drafters, designers, and administrative personnel to ensure projects are completed efficiently and within budget.
8. Work under the mentorship of Senior Professional Engineers (PE).

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in local site development design, with a strong preference for those with a background in residential development.
2. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, with a strong preference for those with a proficiency in HydroCAD.
3. Proficiency in land development and state regulations.
4. Ability to multi-task and complete different time-sensitive projects at once.
5. Ability to lead and work in a team environment.
6. History of client communications as well as town/state communications and interactions.
7. Strong writing/grammar skills and the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally with architects, builders, and owners.
8. Detail oriented.
9. Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering.
