Our global, 12,000 person technology solutions, products and services client has asked The Maven Group to help find an Embedded Software Engineer for their Minneapolis, MN location.

Due to the nature of the work, a DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph is required. All work must be performed onsite. Flexible schedules with every other Friday off work, if desired (9/80 schedule).

The chosen Embedded Engineer will join our client's High Performance Computing Group, developing and supporting advanced HPC software and hardware mission capabilities.
Minimum Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.
- Active security clearance at the TS/SCI with a Full Scope poly is required.
What you need to bring with you:
- Technical and problem-solving skills in advanced computing systems, hardware, software, mathematics, physics, or end-mission applications and support, with an understanding of how those capabilities fit into the bigger product/service offering.
- Expertise in applying technology and technical skills to solve challenges in creative ways.
- Experience digging into hardware specifications and leveraging hardware interfaces in the composition of low-level software solutions.
- Energized by the diverse software and computer engineering problem sets of HPC.
- Knowledge of general programming principles and optimization strategies, with previous experience in Assembly, C/C++, Python, Rust, Embedded Linux or others.
- Development and testing skills in High Performance Computing applications or advanced computing/embedded systems.
- Ability to travel as needed.
