TITLE: DevOps Software Engineer

LOCATION: Sunnyvale, CA
Duration: 6 to 12+ Months

Description:

The Software DevOps Engineer position will be responsible for development, deployment, monitoring, and support of large hybrid cloud infrastructure that runs a real-time analytics platform.

Areas of responsibility include:

1. Participate in upgrades and new installations of the platform in hybrid cloud environments.
2. Maintain and enhance build and deploy frameworks to ensure seamless release of software.
3. Proactively improve monitoring of the infrastructure and platform.
4. Participate in on-call support, troubleshoot issues, and provide swift resolution.
5. Develop tools to improve operational efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems.
2. 4+ years of experience supporting hybrid private/public systems.
3. Strong Linux fundamentals and bash scripting skills.
4. Strong knowledge of Ansible.
5. Strong knowledge of build and deployment tools/frameworks such as Git, Jenkins.
6. Solid experience with deploying and managing monitoring software such as Nagios, Logstash, Graylog, or Zabbix.
7. Experience deploying, managing, and tuning performance Elasticsearch.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with supporting OpenStack.
2. Experience with design/install/maintain of MySQL, Mongo.
3. Experience supporting messaging/queuing infrastructure such as Kafka.
