Sherpa 6 is looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in Natick, MA. As the successful Software Engineer for Sherpa 6, you'll have the opportunity to work hands-on with our amazing engineering team, execute forward-thinking skills and develop software for a variety of platforms. The Software Engineer must be at ease working in an Agile environment with little supervision and act as a subject matter expert for software development and engineering.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Coding and testing software based upon software specifications and designs
• Analyzing and studying complex system requirements
• Designing software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain software development
• Using sound software engineering principles to ensure that developed code is modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, and fault tolerant
• Providing software process management and control throughout the coding portion of the software development process

Qualifications:

• BS or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
• 2+ years of experience in Software Development
• Programming experience with Java or C++
• Experience with software development and software engineering principles
• Strong team player who thrives in a highly collaborative and cross-functional environment with a growth mindset
• Experience with Scrum or another Agile methodology a plus
• Development processes: source control, defect tracking, collaborative tools, code review a plus
• Capable of conducting peer code reviews
• Must be a US citizen
• Must pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with connecting mobile applications to web services
• Experience in Android, iOS, data analytics, and security
• Programming experience with Go or Angular

Background Screening/Check/Investigation:

Successful completion of a background screening/check/investigation will/may be required as a condition of hire.
