Job Mission:
As an Application Engineer VC, you will play a crucial role as the primary technical resource for the field sales force and our customers. Collaborating with a dynamic team, you will actively drive and manage the technology evaluation stage of the sales process. Your role will involve identifying and providing reliable solutions for all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. Location: Piab Vakuum GmbH, Butzbach Germany
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain professional business relationships within target accounts.
- Identify customer needs and recommend product solutions.
- Listen, understand, and convey customer requirements.
- Support market penetration with customers.
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects.
- Service at the customer's site.
Key Interfaces:
Work with outside partner(s) to support the region and achieve territory goals and objectives. Perform technical/product training for salespeople, new starters, and engineers at targeted accounts.
Skills and Abilities:
Familiarity with Pharma, Food, or Chemical industry is a plus. Ability to work with multiple discipline projects. Fluent English, both oral and written.
Preferred Competencies:
Strong customer service skills. Sales and marketing experience is a plus. Ability to handle client and customer issues tactfully and professionally. Creative, analytical, and driven. Thrives in a fast-paced work environment. Enjoys complex problem-solving and collaboration.
Experience and Education:
2+ years' experience as application engineers or a similar role. Diploma in techniques. Familiarity with CRM system is a plus. Proficient in drawing skills using Solid Edge / -Works. This role requires travel to both Piab and external parties' global destinations when applicable.
