The Manager, Data Engineering, will be responsible for building, maintaining and improving the data processes and infrastructure at Homebase Medical. This is a hands-on position that will oversee data projects while directly contributing to daily tasks, development and improvement efforts.
This position is remote, local to Los Angeles to come occasionally to the Long Beach office.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain data infrastructure. Design, build and optimize data processes and systems to support business operations and analytics.
- Manage data projects. Lead projects and ensure timelines and deliverables are met.
- Supervise and mentor staff. Provide oversight and guidance to direct reports and supervise contractors.
- Collaborate with stakeholders. Work closely with business units and functional teams to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure data quality and security. Implement processes and tools to ensure data accuracy, integrity and security.
- Monitor and troubleshoot systems. Oversee system performance and resolve issues impacting operations.
- Documentation and training. Maintain documentation of data processes and provide training to team.
- Continuous improvement. Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Actively support the achievement of Homebase Medical's Vision and Goals.
Supervises/Manages Others (i.e. hires, performance reviews, corrective action, etc.) Approximately 1-3 employees.
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, preferred, but not required.
- 3-5 years of related analytical and data engineering experience required.
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience.
- Experience with start-up organizations.
- Experience in a Medicare Advantage environment preferred.
Strong analytical skills required. Ability to effectively interact with, and present findings to various levels of the organization.
Experience implementing and managing ETL processes to automate and streamline data processing.
Experience in implementing a data warehouse strategy to consolidate data from multiple sources.
Capability to establish a unified reporting and analytics platform.
Ability to build and lead a team and foster a positive team environment.
Strong preference for experience with Athena EHRs.
