Job Title: Mechanical Design EngineerJob DescriptionScope: The majority of the workload involves designing in SolidWorks 3D and AutoCAD 2D. The engineer will work on a variety of machines, ranging from simple machining equipment to complex micro-finishing stations with automation and numerous machine components. Designers will collaborate with the Sales and Application teams to develop conceptual designs and finalize 3D models for machine tools. The role consists of 80% computer work and 20% internal meetings and design reviews. Day to Day: 80% of the time will be spent designing in SolidWorks 3D and AutoCAD 2D (layouts and sub-assembly design). The remaining 20% will involve internal design reviews and meetings. Responsibilities include creating BOMs and working with the shop floor to ensure designs are feasible. The work hours are flexible, with 8-hour days and overtime available.
