Senior Software Engineer, Database Development

We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced engineering leader to help develop next generation predictive heat management and placement solutions for Aurora Serverless. In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply your deep understanding of distributed systems architecture and design principles to optimize performance and scalability. We are looking for an innovative individual who can redefine how we anticipate the evolving needs of database developers and create mechanisms to optimize Aurora Serverless V2 features. This is a high-impact role that aims to enhance customer experience while delivering high availability, performance, and scalability.

In this position, you will collaborate with other engineering teams and mentor junior engineers to design and build next generation instance types for Aurora Serverless. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the industry's brightest minds and help drive innovation for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build next generation instance types for Aurora Serverless
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with engineers from other teams

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
