Advanced Coating Engineer

A Snapshot of Your Day:

The Advanced Coating Engineer is responsible for supporting the industrialization of new coating technologies into the manufacturing environment. This includes collaborating with internal and external manufacturing organizations, conducting process qualifications of turbine components, and ensuring components follow design for manufacturing principles. Additionally, this role involves evaluating manufacturing data and revising product specifications and design philosophies.

How You'll Make an Impact:

• Support the industrialization of coating technology into the casting supply base
• Conduct process qualifications of turbine components
• Evaluate manufacturing data and ensure components follow design for manufacturing principles
• Revise product specifications and design philosophies as necessary

What You Bring:

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in material engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering or related field
• 3+ years of experience in high temperature coatings and materials
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes utilized in gas turbine manufacturing
• Deep understanding of high-temperature materials and properties
• Prior knowledge of gas turbine components, materials or manufacturing
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
• Strong motivation, safety adherence, and efficient task performance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
