Join our dynamic and innovative team at Xero as an Engineering Manager for our Payroll Services division. As a leader in the Small Business Accounting Space, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to oversee the development and maintenance of our new and improved payroll services. Our ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in engineering and a proven track record of managing complex projects and teams. What You'll Do:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers to develop and maintain high-quality payroll services for our clients.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure the successful delivery of payroll services, including setting goals and timelines, managing resources and budget, and identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team dynamic, providing guidance and support to team members and promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies, and apply this knowledge to continuously improve our payroll services.
- Manage and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including cross-functional teams, clients, and external partners, to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the development process.
- Oversee the hiring, training, and development of new team members, and provide ongoing mentorship and support.
- Monitor and analyze key metrics and performance indicators to assess the success of our payroll services and make data-driven decisions.
- Work with other engineering managers and leaders to share knowledge, best practices, and resources.
