Your Opportunity
We are looking for an early-in-career Restoration Engineer with an interest and expertise in rivers, streams, floodplains, and other types of natural waters. This position will work within a dynamic team of staff embodying a wide range of engineering and scientific backgrounds as we assist our clients in planning, analysis, and design of their projects. The role will include work on the following types of projects:
- River and stream habitat restoration and enhancement
- River and stream bank stabilization
- Fish passage improvements
- Flood control
- Flood hazard and risk analysis
- Support for other engineering and surface water management projects
Minimum Qualifications
Education, Experience, & Licensure/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or a master’s degree in civil engineering if undergraduate degree was not in civil engineering
- 0+ years of professional experience
- Valid driver’s license
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Familiarity with Pacific Northwest watersheds
- Ability to multi-task daily, and work with a fast-paced team of interdisciplinary staff working on several concurrent projects
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software programs
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS software
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in civil engineering or environmental science with an emphasis on aquatic ecosystems restoration, hydraulics, or geomorphology
- Engineer-in-Training certification
- Experience with field data collection and related equipment
- Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and modeling tools and techniques

- This position is salaried and exempt from overtime; the annual salary range is $73,424–$95,260. Salary is determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to years of experience, type/relevance of experience, skillset, and fit for the role.
