This position will design scalable, reliable, secure, and extensible software solutions according to company and client needs. This position will also be responsible for leading a team in developing, testing, improving, and maintaining new and existing line of business applications and platforms.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Design, code, and test line of business systems and applications.
  • Build, monitor, and maintain streaming data pipelines and system integrations.
  • Build, monitor, and maintain RDBMS solutions.
  • Provide operational support of applications and technology platforms.
  • Ensure performance, security, and availability of software solutions.
  • Prepare technical documentation and project specifications.
  • Manage daily development tasks in Jira or similar tools.
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
  • Provide solutions in innovative and effective ways.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of software development experience.

Other:

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and process improvement projects.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills, including conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a professional manner with staff, business stakeholders, end users, management, and others outside the organization.
  • Knowledge of designing, implementing and maintaining SharePoint environments.
  • Fundamental understanding of web-based systems programming and development.
  • Knowledge of scaling technology platforms.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic, results-oriented environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, self-motivated, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Working Environment and Travel Requirements

  • Work is typically in a normal office administrative environment involving minimal exposure to physical risks.
  • Position requires little to moderate physical activity. Mostly sedentary work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. No significant stooping is usually required.
