Job Title: Commissioning Engineer

The company
A highly regarded construction and engineering consultancy is seeking to recruit a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer / Agent as part of the growth of their commissioning team in Charlotte, NC.
The position
The primary objectives of our Commissioning Engineer / Agent are to see that the processes involved in the commissioning of engineering services systems have been safely, diligently, and accurately planned, managed, tested and documented. This includes:
- Acting as a key point of client contact
- Develop and coordinate Commissioning Plans, consistent with ASHRAE Guideline O format.
- Mentoring and leading junior engineers
- Reviewing design specifications, criteria, drawings and other documentation
- Proactively progress commissioning activities throughout the project cycle in conjunction with the General Contractor and vendors
- By diligent management of the commissioning process seeing that systems are set to work optimally and verified as such, in accordance with the design requirements
- Develop and coordinate functional testing of multi-stack equipment and multi-redundant system configurations within a trade
- Accountability for the quality of service, delivery, and management of client expectations
Could this role be for you?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or 4-7 years relevant experience
- A minimum of 4 years of field experience in hands-on testing, validation, and troubleshooting of large Mechanical systems
- Experience working on commissioning of large distribution systems within the pharmaceutical, mission critical, industrial, data center, healthcare or life science sectors.
