Oracle Software Developer 4 - Cheyenne, Wyoming

As a team member, you’ll be responsible for leading efforts in designing and building scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services to support healthcare platforms, applications, and our end users. We believe in ownership and expect you to think long term, mentor, and empower other engineers. You will own the complete SDLC from architecture, development, testing, first-class monitoring, to production.

Responsibilities

1. Assist in software tasks associated with the design, development, and troubleshooting of API services.
2. Provide technical leadership to other software developers.
3. Specify, design, and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Education

6+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in computer science/application, or equivalent.

4+ years of experience with a Master’s degree in computer science/application or equivalent.

Knowledge and Skills

1. Ability to translate requirements into design specifications for APIs.
2. Ability to train and mentor developers with API development tools.
3. Highly proficient in API lifecycle management – Requirement analysis, Design, Implementation, Unit test case preparation and execution, Code reviews, and Delivery.
4. Highly proficient with API design specifications using Swagger or similar tools.
5. Experience with creation and execution of Test Cases via ReadyAPI, Postman, or similar tools. Publish APIs using OpenAPI or similar tools.
6. Proficiency with any public cloud services and infrastructure. Experience developing Cloud-based SaaS applications preferred.
7. Strong desire to make an impact and thrive in collaborative and energetic environments.
8. Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts verbally and through design aspects.
9. Plan, track, and manage deliverables on short-term sprints and long-term software deployments.
10. Ability to work within a fast-paced Agile DevOps team contributing and collaborating with the scrum team on a daily basis.
11. Participate in all phases of Agile methodology (planning, grooming, coding sprint items).

Technical Skills

1. 6+ years of developing enterprise distributed and/or cloud-native systems.
2. Demonstrated ability to write great code in Java. Proficiency in Java frameworks, SDKs.
3. 4+ years of experience in API development using microservices frameworks such as Micronaut, Helidon, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud.
4. Must have strong experience in CI/CD pipelines and deployments. Shepherd and Terraform.
5. Strong grasp of system design fundamentals and distributed systems architectural best practices.
6. Strong experience with containers and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
7. Gain knowledge and control of client integration endpoints (live APIs, Batch, Queue-based processing).

Range and Benefit Information:

US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
