Civil Engineering/Drafting Technician

Seeking an Engineering Technician to work with multi-disciplinary teams on State, Local Government, and private projects, primarily in the transportation arena.
Engineering Technicians play an essential role in the design and construction of successful, high-quality transportation projects that make a difference in people's daily lives. They assist the Engineers, Project Managers, and Land Surveyors with drafting, design, surveying, inspection, and testing on a variety of transportation projects.
Responsibilities may include:

• Computer-aided drafting and design (CADD)
• Preparation of plans, drawings, and specifications for transportation projects
• Inspection on construction sites to ensure compliance with plans and specifications
• Materials testing on construction projects
• Performing various surveying tasks

• A desire to grow with the company
• Experience in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
• Knowledge of Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Attention to detail
• Good communication and technical skills
• A willingness to collaborate in a team environment
• A.A.S. in Civil Engineering Technology (or related field) OR related experience
• Knowledge of CADD software, preferably MicroStation
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
