Senior Virtualization Infrastructure Engineer

Position Summary: The Senior Virtualization Engineer leads and works alongside Virtualization Engineer(s) and Network Engineer(s). They research, explore, and test new virtualization features and functionality offered by VMware. Collaborate with team members to develop and test implementations of these features and functions. Assist in escalating critical issues as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop scripts and queries to validate functionality and security of all systems and performance metrics.
2. Develop automated procedures to deploy virtualization infrastructure with minimal intervention and time to deploy.
3. Provide performance monitoring, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and resolution of system issues.
4. Produce and present documentation of standard operating procedures for employees related to virtualization products, and solutions to new or unknown issues.
5. Provide Tier III support, handling the most difficult or advanced problems using expert-level troubleshooting and analysis methods.
6. Assist both Tier I and Tier II personnel in research and development.
