Founding Engineer / Head of Engineering

About The Role

Their mission is to revolutionize the way companies hire and retain talent for high-volume sales roles. Having recently secured a seed round, they are preparing to advance our product to the next stage.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial leadership role in our engineering team, ensuring the development of an exceptional and scalable product.

Required Experience

• 5-10 years of full-time experience in software engineering, with proficiency in the MEAN/MERN stack.
• 2+ years of experience at a major tech company.
• 2+ years of experience at a startup or as a co-founder with experience raising institutional funding.
• Previous experience managing engineering teams.
• Willingness to contribute hands-on coding 30-50% of the time.
• Some experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) or Large Multimodal Models (LMMs).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a top-tier U.S. university.

Preferred Experience

• MS/PhD in Computer Science from a top-tier U.S. university.
• Extensive experience with LLMs or LMMs.
• Experience architecting and building SaaS products from the ground up, either as a founding engineer or as an engineering leader at a startup.
• Experience in building and deploying mobile applications.

Responsibilities

• Design a scalable architecture for our product offering and transition the existing solution to the cloud.
• Work closely with engineers to develop both front-end and back-end components.
• Implement systems to efficiently manage engineering processes and resources.
• Collaborate closely with the founding team to define the engineering roadmap.
• Assist in the growth of the engineering team by recruiting top-tier talent.
• Oversee the engineering organization, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
