Job Requirements / Description

A Federal consulting company in Northern Virginia is looking for a Data Scientist to join their organization. This company works with various Federal agencies and will need this person to work on-site 3 or more days a week. Candidates should hold at least an active TS/SCI.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Provide hands-on technical leadership
  2. Architect and build solutions to collect, transform, and process data at scale in a cloud-based environment
  3. Build and maintain environments, processes, functionalities, and tools to improve all stages of solution development
  4. Assist in building, training, and deploying AI Models for the data science team

Job Competencies/Skill Requirements/Qualifications

  1. Over 3 years’ experience in data engineering
  2. Expertise in Python, SQL, MySQL, and AWS services including RDS, Dynamo DB, Redshift, Athena, S3, Lambdas, EC2, EMR, RedShift, SQS, and Kafka
  3. Experience with microservice development using Docker, ECS/Kubernetes
  4. Experience with C/ICD deployment of data engineering solutions
  5. Experience in building machine learning models preferred
