Position Summary
Join our client's team as a Field Engineer specialising in x-ray systems. This position involves applying your knowledge in mechanics, electronics, and IT to deliver effective on-site service, including the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced x-ray equipment. As a central part of our customer service operations, you'll be instrumental in providing quality support that promotes long-term client satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities
- Install, service, and maintain x-ray systems directly at client facilities, ensuring peak operation and adherence to safety standards.
- Address issues promptly, diagnosing and resolving technical problems to minimize equipment downtime.
- Ensure consistent, clear communication with clients, addressing their needs and maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Accurately record service activities and prepare reports for future reference and compliance purposes.
- Perform routine upkeep and system adjustments per Quality Procedures (QMP) and Work Instructions (WI).
- Remain certified and knowledgeable on the latest standards for x-ray systems you service.
- Frequent standing, walking, and hand use, with occasional reaching, bending, climbing stairs, and handling equipment.
- Physical capacity to lift and move equipment as needed.
- Adequate vision for distance and close work, including color and depth perception, and fine focus.
- Associate degree in electronics, engineering, or relevant technical training (military training such as BMET is suitable).
- At least one year of experience servicing imaging equipment, ideally focused on x-ray systems.
- Valid driver's license.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially in client-facing roles.
- Competence with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
