Job Requirements / Description
  • Set up and operate CNC Lathe machines (Horizontal and/or Vertical).
  • Verify tool lengths (including: setting of tool geometries and offsets).
  • Set up and change fixtures, clamp fixtures and clamps as required.
  • Load and unload fixtures using overhead cranes, slings, chains etc.
  • Adjustment of offsets.
  • Produce conforming first piece products to process drawing and quality specifications.
  • Achieve specified quality standards.
  • Hold tight tolerances on large 28"+ parts
  • Proficiently use a variety of manual gauges which includes but not limited to swing gauges, callipers and OD mics.
  • Conform to specified health and safety standards.
  • Report any issues or problems to Supervision immediately.
  • Work within the designated workgroup to plan, prioritize and perform work to satisfy customer and company needs
  • Carry out daily TPM activities as required
  • Provide guidance and assistance to other team members as needed
  • Execute a 'Zero Defects' & 'Right First time' culture.
  • Propose Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvements to management.
  • Provide Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) support.
  • Ensure parts are handled and protected in a suitable manner to prevent damage during operations and movement.
  • Comply with any other guidelines as defined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Comply with company housekeeping standards.
  • Adhere to company EH & S Policies.
  • To perform other such duties as generally correspond to the nature of the position and its level of responsibility.
  • Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 + years of CNC experience, 2+ years in Lathe/VTL experience preferred.
  • Knowledge in Fanuc and OSP controls
  • AeroCision, LLC is a covered federal contractor
