Job Description Summary:
The Jr. Performance Software Developer will develop, automate and maintain comprehensive PV performance analysis code and tools based on Performance Team specifications.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Stresses the importance that safety is the most important function, ensures that all employees from field team to office follow safe practices while working.
- Works with Performance Team – EPC team members in developing processes to quicken and enhance day to day activities.
- Works with Performance Team Managers in developing comprehensive and scalable solutions for analytics and corresponding tools.
- Develop and maintain a suite of Performance Analysis python codes and corresponding detailed documentation and trainings related to the use of the codes and associated tools.
- Collaborate with internal teams to collect and consolidate necessary data to complete reports and other analytical tools and deliverables.
- Work with Performance Team Managers in reviewing and documenting required feature sets for python tools and provide feedback on feasibility and capability in implementing the feature sets.
- Thorough review and research into additional tools/libraries for meeting the needs and requirements of analytics and tools for the Performance Team – EPC.
- Code and develop cross operational tools/dashboards to leverage the performance data and information from EPC and O&M projects based on specifications from Performance Team Managers.
- Maintain clear and accurate operations documents/procedures for reference purposes which includes, but is not limited to, python setup, Github training, Sharepoint technical information repository, troubleshooting guides and practices for code-based tools, analytics reference calculations, and others as needed.
- Maintain working and scalable code bases/tools via quality assurance testing and technical documentation.
- Work with Performance Team – EPC members and Performance Team Managers to ensure proper design and user experiences are accounted for in scope and development requirement reviews.
- Implement user interface (UI) functionality and backend data processing.
- Assist and support in data analytics and other tools development based on Performance Team needs.
- Maintain clear and accurate operations documents/procedures for internal reference and training purposes.
- Review and enhance current internal analytics software/code base.
- Apply PV performance modeling libraries and tools, like PVLIB and Rdtools, within internal analyses.
- Grow into a role of subject matter expertise in PV power plants.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
- College degree in data science, programming, engineering or another related technical field.
- 2+ Years experience in programming, developing, engineering or data analytics.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and other Office tools.
- Experience with programming languages like Python, SQL, R, and others.
- Experience using Git and Github.
- Experience using Pandas, NumPy, Plotly, Dash, and other python-based data visualization tools.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of time.
- Technical understanding of the Renewable Energy industry with emphasis on solar PV.
- Foster a spirit of collaboration between teams.
- Strong communication skills to clearly articulate vision into an executable plan and clearly communicate details and thoughts to internal/external clients.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and passion for problem solving.

$72,275.00 -$90,344.00
