US locations include: Buffalo (NY), Charleston (SC), Savannah (GA), Wichita (KS), Mobile, (AL) and Seattle (WA).Education & experience:Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar educational training/certifications.1-5 years of experience in the industrial automation industry.Strong mechanical aptitude from prior professional experience.Qualifications:Strong fundamental understanding of electrical design practices, machine/motion control systems, electro-mechanical systems, programming, and system integration.Ability to analyze and diagnose problems in automated equipment.Experience designing for large automated systems from initial concept through installation and customer buy off.Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of electrical safety guidelines.Strong communication skills & ability to interact with teams, clients, and vendors.Comfortable working autonomously and ability to take initiative.Desirable Experience (not required):Siemens Step 7 / TIA Portal PLC programming experience.Familiarity with IEC61131 (PLC programming languages).Familiar with ISO 13849-1 and IEC 62061 safety of machinery standardsFamiliarity with EPLAN (or AutoCAD Electrical) for creating electrical drawings.Job responsibilities:Apply knowledge of electronics, electrical circuits, mechanics, pneumatics, and programming.Develop PLC programming within Broetje’s standard for new systems as well as existing equipment retrofits and modifications.Maintain logs & written records of duties performed.Creates and maintains BOMs.Generate panel layout for new automated systems.Occasional travel to customer sites for machine commissioning.Train customer’s staff & new technicians in machine operation as needed.Compensation/Benefits:Competitive Wages401(k) company match100% paid healthcare premiums (medical, dental, vision)Disability plan & group life insurance programThree weeks Paid Time Off (PTO) plus twelve paid holidaysTuition reimbursement programInternational travel opportunities (Germany)Visit: and by JazzHR
