Responsibilities:

1. Build distributed infrastructure to process scientific experiments on large datasets
2. Build distributed infrastructure to support API consumers
3. Debug and optimize existing and new code
4. Work independently and as a team, participating in code reviews and weekly product meetings
5. Pick up new technologies and learn on the go
6. Write awesome code that you can be proud of!

Requirements:

1. 2 years of professional back-end development, including experience covering all or some of the following technologies:
2. Databases (Mongo, Redis)
3. Container-based deploy (Docker, Quay, Amazon ECS)
4. Cloud services (Amazon EC2, S3, SQS, Heroku)
5. Experience designing, documenting, building, and scaling APIs in a production environment
6. Ability to identify and fix distributed bottlenecks and bugs
7. Curiosity and intellectual flexibility
8. Team oriented with an appetite for adventure
9. Current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis
