PHP Developer (US/Canada Residents Only, 1 Year Experience, Remote)

Hiring Type: Full-Time

Base Salary: $65K-$78K Per Annum.

Description:

You will collaborate with senior developers to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using PHP and related technologies. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and enhance your skills in PHP development within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and objectives
  2. Assist in the design and development of web applications using PHP and related technologies
  3. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices
  4. Implement and integrate APIs and web services for seamless communication with external systems
  5. Conduct testing and debugging to ensure the functionality and reliability of applications
  6. Optimize application performance and scalability through code optimization and database query tuning
  7. Collaborate with designers to ensure a visually appealing and user-friendly interface
  8. Stay up-to-date with the latest PHP development trends and technologies
  9. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality
  10. Document technical specifications and project details

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  2. Solid understanding of PHP development principles and best practices
  3. Proficiency in PHP programming language
  4. Familiarity with web development frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter
  5. Experience with front-end development languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  6. Knowledge of database systems and experience with SQL
  7. Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git)
  8. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  9. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  10. Ability to work independently and within a team
  11. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with PHP-based CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal)
  2. Familiarity with front-end frameworks/libraries like React, Angular, or Vue.js
  3. Knowledge of NoSQL databases
