Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This is a direct hire opportunity for candidates with a Journeyman's card or 7+ years of direct electrician experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical work on manufacturing equipment and demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical work on machines within a manufacturing environment, specifically CNC machining equipment.
- Conduct industrial and electrical maintenance on high voltage systems (480V, 120V) and low voltage systems (down to 24V DC).
- Troubleshoot and repair various electrical components, including PLCs, frequency drives, proximity switches, light screens, and safety circuits.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Understand and navigate parameters of program frequency drives and work with controls engineers for system integration.
Qualifications:
- Must-Have:
- Journeyman's card or 7+ years of DIRECT electrician experience.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically on manufacturing equipment (not facilities maintenance).
- Proficiency in industrial maintenance and electrical maintenance, including high voltage (480V) and low voltage circuitry (24V DC).
- Familiarity with PLC systems (Allen Bradley preferred) and the ability to adjust parameters of frequency drives.
- CNC machining experience is preferred, especially with Fanuc and Siemens controllers.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for various electrical components and systems.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the automotive industry is highly preferred.
- Candidates with significant expertise in either CNC systems or PLC systems are encouraged to apply.
Additional Information:
- Pay Rate: $40 per hour, with a $1 shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
- Shifts: New hires will likely start on the 2nd (2 PM - 10 PM) or 3rd shift (10 PM - 6 AM).
- Overtime: The union contract allows for mandated overtime, including 2/3 Saturdays a month. Overtime pay is 1.5x hourly for hours over 40 and 2x hourly for Sundays and holidays.
