Körber Parcel Logistics is a global leader in Mail & Parcel logistics and offers the most innovative solutions worldwide. We are on a tremendous growth path in the dynamic US market and are seeking a talented hands-on Engineering Manager to join our team of entrepreneurs at our location in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
Your role on our team
- You will manage an experienced and professional team of ME, EE, and Test & Evaluation engineers.
- You will participate, oversee, and take an active part in peer design reviews of mail sorting machines and other electromechanical, mechatronic, and parcel sortation systems.
- You will oversee, coordinate, and participate in bids and proposals for both customer and R&D projects.
- You will manage resource planning and resource allocation ensuring all projects both internal and external have adequate engineering resources with established priorities.
- You will take part in customer project reviews and reporting and present appropriate material.
- You will perform all disciplinary management functions including but not limited to regular performance reviews, merit allocations, hiring, terminations, and engineering budget planning.
- You will work directly with other stakeholders such as project managers, project financial controllers, B&P managers, other engineering managers, and other key personnel involved in product development and project execution to ensure company targets are met.
Your profile
- You have 7+ years of direct engineering work experience as a mechanical, electrical, or controls engineer.
- You have 3+ years of experience as an engineering manager.
- You have a BS Degree in Engineering.
- You have excellent organizational and communication skills; are detail-oriented and can work in a dynamic environment, managing priorities and risks.
- You can travel up to 15%, and as warranted based upon project needs.
- You can obtain a security clearance.
