As a Senior Hardware Engineer, you will work under limited supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented engineers. You will contribute to the development of Resideo's next generation of products by designing, testing, and validating products and processes from prototype to market.Job DutiesPlan and execute project subtasks (designing, testing, etc)Assist in product and process certification for customer acceptanceGuide engineers, technicians and associates to ensure project and product compliancePresent to leadership and external customersConsult with vendors and suppliers to ensure product and project complianceCommunicate any non-compliance incidents and results of internal project audits to pertinent partiesEstablish and follow methodologies for new or existing conceptsIdentify opportunities and propose technical improvements by applying advanced electrical engineering knowledge and principlesSuggest enhancements to advance projectsKnowledge expert in RF and electrical engineering designs involving Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Z-Wave and Zigbee/RF4CE networking technologies and other emerging wireless technologies including FCC requirements & bus protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART and SDIODeep subject matter expertise in some of the following areas: batteries, power supplies, displays, touch, wireless protocols, RF & antennas, MCUs, signal integrity, mixed signal analog & audio, power management, environmental sensors, & optical systemsYou Must HaveBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in hardware engineering, with a focus on sensor development and product design.Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout toolsWe ValueDeep understanding of a variety of engineering standards and specificationsCapability to complete demanding assignments by applying advanced hardware engineering methods and toolsAbility to influence cross-functional teams to deliver optimal solutionsAbility to consistently make timely decisions and balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness in an ambiguous environmentClearly and concisely convey subtle or complex messages to a variety of audiencesCapability to follow guidelines and ensure efficiency on given project tasksWhat’s In It for YouWork in a Hybrid setting (3 days in office, 2 days remote)Enjoy work-life balance with generous vacation time that can be scheduled with manager approval based on business priorities and personal needs, without pre-set maximums.Immediate eligibility for Medical, Dental, Vision insurance and 401K.Resideo is a leading global provider of critical comfort and security solutions primarily in residential environments and distributor of low-voltage electronic and security products.
