Principal Electrical Engineer

-A deep understanding of various power supply topologies, including H-Bridge, Flyback, Resonant, Buck, and Boost, is essential.
The key responsibilities:
You will design and develop switching amplifiers and power supplies, ranging from 100W to 100kW, with amplifiers operating at bus voltages between 400V and 2400V, and output currents up to 400Arms and 1200A peak.
Design and specify custom magnetics.
Troubleshoot mixed-signal circuits down to the component level.
Provide technical support to internal teams and external customers.
-Strong background in designing switching amplifiers and power supplies from concept through to execution, as well as a solid foundation in magnetic design from scratch.
Maintain thorough documentation of development processes and test data.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with an advanced degree preferred.
5 to 10 years of experience in designing switching power supplies or amplifiers.
Familiarity with IEC 60601 is preferred, though not required.
Experience with power supplies switching in the 20 kHz to 100 kHz range.
Proven ability to design power supplies up to 100kW and amplifiers with bus voltages up to 2400V and continuous currents of 450A (with peak pulses up to 1200A in parallel configurations).
Proficiency with switching topologies such as Flyback, Full H-Bridge, Forward, and Resonant.
Experience with LT Spice and Matlab for simulation, as well as OrCad/Allegro for schematic capture.
Magnetics design experience is required.
Software/firmware knowledge, particularly with microprocessors and FPGAs, is a plus.
Strong hands-on experience in the lab, with the ability to interpret and follow electrical and mechanical schematics accurately.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
