FULL TIME | US Remote or Hybrid in Melbourne, FL

*eligibility for remote work is dependent on experience.

ALTR operates the first-of-its-kind SaaS Data Governance Platform. We are looking to expand our Cloud Infrastructure team with another DevOps Engineer II. You’ll join a highly skilled and efficient team that partners with other engineering teams to build, manage, operate, and design our platform. You’ll work alongside these teams to provide them with the needed tooling and knowledge to deliver a highly scaled, performant, and secure platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist engineering teams with designing, implementing, and running their applications inside our cloud environment.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to monitor, support, and manage teams' deployed applications.
  • Enhancing and developing processes and tooling to increase iteration speed, operational excellence, security, reliability, performance, and lower cost.

Requirements

Must have at least 3 years of experience.

Amazon Web Services (“AWS”) offerings, including being an:

  • expert with AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and IAM,
  • proficient with Lambda, ECS on EC2, ECS on Fargate, S3, and Aurora MySQL,
  • familiar with EventBridge, SQS, Step Functions, and DynamoDB.
  • Infrastructure as Code ("IaC") using Terraform by HashiCorp.
  • A programming language of Go, Java, or Node.js and an understanding of SQL syntax.
  • Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration, and Source Code Management using the GitLab stack.
  • Monitoring, Logging, and Instrumentation using OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, and PagerDuty.
  • Linux (RHEL, CentOS, or Amazon Linux) administration and configuration using Ansible and Bash.
  • Working in a Startup Environment.
  • Incident Response, including participation in the debugging of production-down events and the pressure that comes with them when every second counts.

Must be willing and able to:

  • Travel as needed.
  • Work in EST Timezone.
  • Clearly and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Constantly operate a computer and remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.

Compensation

At ALTR, we are committed to providing competitive salaries in line with market standards. Our estimated compensation range for this position is $115,000.00-$155,000.00, but the final salary will be based on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications demonstrated in the hiring process.

Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, and business need.
