Agilious is seeking a Senior Software Developer C++ to join our Agile Consulting practice. Our Agile consultants work closely with our customers to support them throughout their project needs. Passing Codility Exam Required: Candidates must successfully complete and pass a Codility exam as part of the application process
Responsibilities:
- Develops and continuously improves the SRA bioinformatics pipelines and bioinformatics algorithms by designing, implementing, and maintaining SRA bioinformatics pipeline software.
- Participates in large-scale day-to-day operational activity.
- Develop tests and production releases.
- Works on reliability engineering topics to constantly improve quality.
- Contribute to daily stand-up meetings and sprint retrospectives.
- Other similar professional duties are assigned as needed.
Requirements:
- Strong coding skills in one of the programming languages (Python, C++).
- Worked with technical team leads, architects, product managers, and other teams to take ideas through all phases of the projects.
- Experience in parallel and distributed computing with focus on performance optimization, reliability engineering and efficient resource management.
- Experience in design of testing scenarios for distributed systems.
- Experience in Kubernetes.
- Experience in messaging systems (Kafka).
- Experience in pipeline automation frameworks (AirFlow).
- Experience with logging, observability, and monitoring systems.
- Experience with handling of bioinformatics data formats is a plus.
- Shared information with related groups/projects.
- Provided innovative solutions to complex problems, and communicated progress toward project/program goals.
Bonus Technical Skills:
- 5+ years of working with genetic and biological data. Experience with MS SQL server, including XML typed data storage and manipulation.
- Familiarity with NGS computational tools and formats (BWA, GATK, Galaxy, etc.).
- Demonstrated active involvement into open source communities (github, etc.).
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, physics, or related discipline.
