About the team:

Global e-commerce is a content e-commerce business with international short video product as the carrier. It is committed to becoming the first choice for users to discover and purchase good products with affordable prices. The Global e-commerce business team hopes to provide users with a more tailored, active, and efficient consumption experience, enabling merchants to receive stable and reliable platform services in different scenarios such as live e-commerce and short video content e-commerce, so as to make more affordable and high-quality products sell easily and a better life within reach.


Content E-commerce is a global team responsible for building up the content ecosystem for E-commerce. We provide more highly qualified E-commerce content to customers to help them find good products at affordable prices. We attract more creators to land on the E-commerce platform, create more E-commerce related content, and benefit from their content. Also, we help merchants to find suitable creators to sell their products. Our mission is to build up an ecosystem which both customers, creators, and merchants will benefit from.


Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for building up and managing the content consuming backend tech team in the US.
  2. Responsible for designing the architecture of technical solutions and providing technical support for engineers in the team.
  3. Align with product and org objectives, and coordinate with cross-functional teams on delivering key results.
  4. Define long term technical roadmap for the team.
  5. Contribute to technical decisions on projects among the product.

Qualifications:

  1. 2+ years managing or tech-leading a software engineering team.
  2. 5+ years of large scale backend system development experience.
  3. Experience in Internet live-streaming apps, and e-commerce is preferred.
  4. Strong business understanding ability, strong technical learning and transfer ability, strong sense of responsibility, good communication and teamwork skills are preferred.

Job Information:

For Pay Transparency:

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $199500 - $340100 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
