Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Software Engineer Intern. In this role, you will work in coordination with our research scientists, FPGA engineers, and fellow software engineers for all activities required to develop, test, and deliver prototype and fully capable systems. This position involves design, development, maintenance, and testing of mainly C++ and Python code. The successful candidate will have knowledge of C++ and experience developing maintainable code as well as performing unit, integration, and regression testing. Experience with containerization, orchestration tools, and CI/CD tools is a major plus.
This position is located at the LM campus in Boulder, Colorado.
Basic Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in Python or C++ programming language.
Desired Skills:
- Applied mathematics or algorithm development experience.
- Experience in software design and development.
- Experience with containerization tools like Docker.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Schedule for this Position: Part-Time as assigned by leader.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $20,904 - $61,672. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
