ManTech is seeking an Infrastructure Shared Services Lead - Software Engineer for a Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC) program for software application development, enhancement, operations, maintenance and sustainment of business applications and systems.

Candidate will be responsible for the infrastructure baseline, ensuring its proper support through collaboration and coordination with various government service providers over the ecosystem lifecycle; and collaborate and coordinate with the government on the acquisition and renewal of licenses and O&M of the infrastructure for the systems. Ideal candidate is autonomous, detail oriented, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, and has experience working with enterprise systems; and a desire and ability to work with peers and customers in a fast paced, collaborative, and agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with the government cloud / hosting service provider processes and procedures while developing and maintaining a secure and dispersed application infrastructure and a standard secure operating system (OS) baseline for virtual and physical machines, including a library of baseline images for servers.
  • Maintain and deliver backups for system and components to ensure that backups are working correctly, and that the system and its components are restorable from their respective latest backups according to a Backup and Restore Plan.
  • Perform OS and Database Administration O&M for in-scope system.
  • Operate and maintain the application database baseline across the development, test, and production environments, on the network(s) and in the hosting environment(s) as determined by the Government.
  • Manage the installation and configuration of infrastructure upgrades or patches from inception through successful completion of Government approval process. Activities include identifying, documenting, and delivering functional and technical gaps, impacts and mitigation plans; creating, updating and delivering project documentation affected by the upgrades or patches; managing / performing and delivering required testing including regression tests; completing review gates and following the readiness process.
  • Implement and maintain patches for in-scope applications and infrastructure.
  • Manage and deliver changes to the in-scope infrastructure baseline.
  • Transition infrastructure baseline changes from the test/staging environment to production.

REQUIRED Qualifications

  • Expert level experience in designing and deploying applications and services to the infrastructure.
  • Three years’ experience in security policy and emerging application security technologies.
  • Three years’ experience working in a software development environment supporting development teams.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies including AWS, MS Azure, Google Cloud Platform or Oracle Cloud.
  • Familiarity with database technologies including MS SQL or Oracle.
  • Experience working in DevOps teams or Scrum teams (preferred).
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools and practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current IAT III Certification (CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, or CCSP) or equivalent.

PREFERRED Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience in both software and systems engineering.
  • Familiarity with two or more of the following: Linux/Windows 10 (highly desired), Ruby on Rails (highly desired), HTML5 (highly desired), node.js (highly desired), JavaScript (highly desired), Code Fusion (desired).
  • Exposure or experience in cloud technologies, such as Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS), Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Elastic Load Balancer (ELB), Cloud Watch, Simple Storage Service (S3), Elastic Block Storage (EBS), Simple Queue Service (SQS), Simple Notification Service (SNS), Lambda, Auto Scaling, Multiple Available Zones, Active-Active.
  • Experience in Kanban.
  • Experience mentoring junior system engineers.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Three years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.

Clearance

  • Current/Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
