Guidewire Developers specialize in designing, implementing, and maintaining Guidewire software applications. Responsibilities encompass coding, debugging, and troubleshooting, ensuring seamless insurance operations and optimal user experiences.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Guidewire applications using Guidewire Studio and Gosu programming language
Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and other developers in the team to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers
Troubleshoot and debug issues in production and non-production environments
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the Guidewire ecosystem and make recommendations for continuous improvement
Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of the Guidewire applications
Requirements:
Proficient in Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter or BillingCenter development
Strong knowledge of Java, J2EE, and web-based technologies
Experience in designing and developing Guidewire integrations with third-party systems
Ability to troubleshoot and debug Guidewire applications
Understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
