Job Description
  • Professionally and systematically guide the refinement of the preventive maintenance function on electrical systems to achieve optimization.
  • Ensure the application of NFPA/NEC regulatory standards and Syngenta codes of practice within the St. Gabriel site engineering/ maintenance organization.
  • Manage the engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover of capital projects where appointed Lead Engineer ensuring full integration of these phases and implementing effective scope control, risk management, cost, and progress reporting.
  • Set success criteria for the C&E department and formulate project execution strategies to ensure that the project team (e.g. the design and construction contractors and equipment suppliers) meet those criteria.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with site personnel to ensure their commitment to maintenance and project objectives, to anticipate and resolve technical difficulties and to minimize any disruptive effect of maintenance/ projects on production.
  • Develop and refine a site level sustainable reliability program that covers electrical, instrument, and analyzer equipment and processes. Develop and report KPIs to manage progress.

This is a Onsite position and located in St. Gabriel, LA.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Attention to detail, continuous learning, applied learning
  • Teamwork
  • Effective written, oral communication and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred:
  • Member of appropriate professional body (e.g. IEEE) preferred
  • Professional Engineering license/ Electrical not required, but considered a plus
